Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: Events, Transition

SPRINT GO took place on Thursday 30 January at the London Film Museum.

Colleagues from across agencies and arm’s length bodies came together to talk, share and learn about GOV.UK. The SPRINT GO event was also a launch of a wider government web community to look at new ways of working.

Rachel Neaman, Digital Lead from the Department of Health, spoke about their experience of moving to GOV.UK.  She urged colleagues to ‘use the opportunity to change the way you work’.

Workshops ran throughout the half-day event, including:

  • Agile for everyone, run by Amy Wagner
  • Managing a successful transition, by Andrew Wiles
  • Style and standards, by Lorena Sutherland and Simon Kaplan
  • User needs, by Alex Jackson, Till Wirth and Umair Ahmed
  • User research, by Cath Richardson and Amy Harcombe
  • Zendesk and the art of more successful maintenance, by John Turnbull and Albert Massa

We’ll publish the slides from the workshops soon.

(Edit 14/02/14: the slides are now available.)

There were also drop-in helpdesks running throughout the event. Here, people could talk to GDS staff and ask specific questions about transition.
